What personal data we collect and why we collect it
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Smart City Consultants uses systems or services of third party suppliers, where it is possible that the supplier also has access to data of our customers. Some of our suppliers are based in the US. How long we retain your data
Our website doesn’t make use of personal data. Data regarding our projects follow the privacy procedures of the DNR 2011.
What rights you have over your data
Under the GDPR, everyone has a number of rights. You can make a request to Smart City Consultants to inspect the personal data we process about you. It will also be indicated how and why we process these data. If Smart City Consultants processes incorrect or incomplete information, we will adjust this at your request. You can also make a request for deletion. Smart City Consultants may be required to process the data for other purposes (administration, tax retention obligation). If you suspect that we are processing your personal data unlawfully or incorrectly, you can also have this processing restricted. You may also object to the processing of your personal data for marketing or other purposes. The right to data portability is new under the GDPR. You can ask Smart City Consultants to transfer your personal data (or have it transferred). Finally, you can revoke your consent to receive the newsletter or other processing.

When does Smart City Consultants collect (personal) data?
This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal information and data provided by clients, prospects and other contact persons obtained during the application and use of our services (domain name registration and hosting packages) and during a visit to our website. We also collect data when you subscribe to our newsletter, request information, ask a question, respond to our website or otherwise contact us.
What (personal) data does Smart City Consultants process?
Smart City Consultants collects contact information such as name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth and bank details, information regarding previous orders and the use of our services. We also store contact history, for example when you ask a question to our customer service. If you use our helpdesk, we will have your contact details and we can save the content of the calls to better serve you in the future and to improve our own information provision.
In addition to the personal information you provide to Smart City Consultants, Smart City Consultants may collect, record and process additional personal information about your use of our services and website(s). Depending on the services you purchase from us, Smart City Consultants stores traffic and location data. This only concerns data relating to your communication, not the communication itself.
We also collect information about the devices you use, such as a unique device ID, the version of the operating system settings of the device you use to visit our website, as well as information about the use of our website(s), such as the time you visit us and the topics you view. The response (open and click) to our emails is also recorded at an individual level.

How we protect your data
Smart City Consultants has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures and monitors and protects all its services (in)visibly against abuse and fraud. Smart City Consultants also engages third parties in the execution of its services. Insofar as these third parties process (personal) data in the performance of the services in question, they do so in the capacity of processor. The processor in question will of course only receive the necessary data and will be (contractually) obliged to maintain an appropriate level of security and to handle personal data with care.
